This document describes the S100D series of Signal/Warning Light and Alarm Sounder Combinations, a range of devices designed for various signaling and warning applications.

Function Description

The S100D series combines visual and audible signaling capabilities, making it suitable for environments requiring both light and sound alerts. The devices can function as beacons, signaling lights, electronic sounders, signal horns, heavy-duty and explosion-proof signalings, or signal tower lights, depending on the specific model and configuration. The sounder models offer a variety of tones, including warning sounds (fire, emergency, ambulance, machinery fault, high expansion), melodies (Sweet Home, For Elise, Cuckoo's Waltz, Piano Sonata, Turkish March), and alarms (beep intermittent, door chime, phone ring, PI.PI.PI short, tripping beat). Customizable sound types are also available. The volume of the sound output is adjustable via a dial.

Usage Features

Installation:

The product should be installed according to the manual to prevent rainwater or moisture penetration.
For products with a protection rating less than IPX4, vertical installation is required.
Beacon/Signaling Light: Power cord inlet part should not face the sky.
Electronic Sounder/Signal Horn: Sounder part should not face the sky.
Heavy-Duty & Explosion Proof Signalings: Sounder part should not face the sky.
Signal Tower Lights: Power cord inlet part should not face the sky.
Mounting: Remove flange nuts from bolts, place the product through mounting surface holes, then fasten flange nuts on the opposite side until the product is securely tightened.
Mounting Hole Specifications: The mounting surface requires holes for M5 screws with a PCD70 diameter and 360°/73-Ø6 HOLES.

Light Function Selection:

S100DL only: Light function switch located inside the product.
- L: Steady: Switch in the "ON" position.
- LF: Flashing: Switch in the "ON" position.
Default function is set at steady LED. Select the desired function for your application during installation.

Volume Adjustment:

The volume output is adjustable.
Turn the volume dial clockwise to increase, and counter-clockwise to decrease.
No sound will be emitted when the dial is at MIN.

Safety Precautions:

Electrical Hazard: Failure to follow instructions can lead to electric shock, fire, or property damage. Only qualified personnel should perform installation and maintenance.
Product Damage: Do not alter or repair the product. If repair is required, contact your local Olgiht contact point.
Environmental Conditions: When the product is applied to a condition that may shorten its life or property, make sure to have a double safety device.
Installation Environment and Protection Rating:
- Designed for use with IP54 protection rating.
- If installed in locations subject to excessive dust or water other than the designated IP protection rating, it may cause malfunction or damage.
- For outdoor applications, install the product in the upright position. Do not install horizontally or upside-down where water can potentially penetrate and impact its operation.

Maintenance Features

Light bulb/Xenon Bulb Replacement:

S100D Model Only (Bulb Replacement):

Wait at least 1 minute after turning off the power before replacing the bulb.
To disassemble the bulb, push down the bulb (①) lightly and screw it counterclockwise.
To put the bulb in, push the bulb (①) in the socket (②) and screw it clockwise while lightly pushing down the bulb.

S100DS Model Only (Xenon Bulb Replacement):

Wait at least 30 minutes after turning off the power before replacing the xenon bulb.
Push out the entire xenon bulb structure (①) to disassemble.
For xenon bulb assembly, make sure the electrode portion of the xenon bulb structure matches the pin location (②).

General Maintenance:

Regularly check the product for any signs of damage or malfunction.
Ensure the product is installed in a manner that prevents water or moisture penetration, especially for outdoor applications.
