• Install smoke alarms on sloped, peaked or cathedral
ceilings between 500 and 1500mm from the highest point
of the ceiling. Smoke alarms in rooms with ceiling slopes
greater than 1 m in 8 m horizontally should be located on
the high side of the room (See Image 2B).
