enter the Hydraulic System and contaminate the Power Unit components and the Reservoir,
resulting in equipment malfunction.
• As a rule, Fittings with tapered threads should not be assembled to a specific torque, as the
amount of torque varies with thread quality, Port and Fitting materials, sealant used, and other
factors.
• When installing the QuickJack Hose Fittings, hand-tighten the Fittings together, then 2-3 turns after
using a Wrench. Once done, make sure to check all Hydraulic Hoses and Fitting
connections before raising a Vehicle.
Assemble the Short Hydraulic Hoses
To assemble the Short Hydraulic Hoses, you will need from Box 3:
• Two Short Hydraulic Hoses (5570233).
• Two Male Quick-Connect Fittings (5550032).
The following graphic shows the connections to make to the Short Hydraulic Hoses.
To set up and connect the Short Hydraulic Hoses:
1. Locate both Short Hydraulic Hoses and remove their protective caps.
