To install the Power Unit Handle:
QuickJack 220VAC Power Units require the handle to be installed. 110VAC Power Units are shipped
with the handle preassembled. Install the Handle using the two Socket Head Cap Screws Supplied
refer to the figure below.
Fill the Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir
The Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir must be filled with Hydraulic Fluid or Automatic Transmission Fluid
before you begin operation of the QuickJack.
When you receive it, the Fluid Reservoir is empty. The Power Unit will not work correctly
until it is filled with approved fluids.
The fluid level should be approximately .5 inch (12 mm) below the Fill Port when the QuickJack is fully
lowered.
CAUTION If you use the QuickJack without fluid in
the reservoir, you could damage the
Power Unit.
WARNING Hydraulic Fluid under pressure is
dangerous. You must always wear
OSHA-approved (publication 3151)
Personal Protective Equipment when
handling hydraulic components: eye
protection and leather gloves are
mandatory.
Approved fluids are any general-purpose ISO-32, ISO-46, or ISO-68 Hydraulic Fluid, approved
Automatic Transmission Fluids such as Dexron III, Dexron VI, Mercon V, Mercon LV, or any synthetic
multi-vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid.
Note: The fluid level drops some after you start using the QuickJack; this is because some fluid
remains in the Hydraulic Hoses. If you notice that the fluid level has dropped more than a
