This step Checks the Anglular difference between the Wing and the Horizontal Stabilizer Surface.
1. Establish ROOT TUBE is in Level Position.
2. Place Straight Edge with Level on top of Leading and Trailing Edge of Stabilizer Frame near
the center but not on the “Sleeve” (40266).
With the Level indicator in the “Level” position the Leading Edge should be at Least 1/2”
Lower than the Trailing Edge.

Flight Testing will determine the final numbers of Spacers.
Assuming all other adjustments (W & B) are followed this Step will have an effect on the Stability
of the plane in Flight. If you Lower the Leading Edge, the affect will push down on the Tail Plane
and result want to Raise the Nose. Opposite for Raising the L.E.
In no circumstance should the L.E. ever be HIGHER than Level.
3/4” (19mm) should be the Maximun “X”.
If more than that is required for Le
If more than that is required for Level Cruise Flight and NO adverse Control Stick pressure
then something else is the cause. Most likely, incorrect loading is causing an “out of balance”
C-G. You should re visit the Weight and Balance proceedure.
