6.0 HELPFUL
HINTS
6.1 If on pressing the
START
key, the theka is not heard, press
STOP
key again and restart.
6.2 If, during operation, the theka stops due to sudden power
fluctuation or temporary loss of power, press
STOP
key and
then restart.
6.3 Any operation of any knob can be performed
without
stopping the theka.
6.4 Operation of the taal selection keys and the laya selection
keys
must be preceded by stopping of the theka, if not
already stopped.
6.5 It is recommended
that
the condition of the batteries is
checked
once in two weeks to avoid leakage of chemicals
and consequent damage to the instrument.
6.6 The "Taalmala" is a very reliable and rugged instrument.
Failure
of components is rare. No damage can be done to
it by pressing the keys in the wrong order. At the most, the
desired theka may not be achieved. Correct usage of
controls
will
then immediately ensure the desired effect.
8.0 WARRANTY
The "Taalmala" is guaranteed against manufacturing
defects for a period of one year
from
the date of
sale.
Warranty is valid only if the
seal
on the instrument is intact
and if the completely filled-in counterfoil of the warranty card
is
received by the manufacturer
within
15 days of
sale.

ADDENDUM
On
instruments provided
with
a detachable AC mains
cord,
the instrument would operate on batteries if the
cord is detached
from
the socket at the rear of the
instrument.
7.0
SERVICING
AND REPAIRS
Normally no periodic servicing is required. Should any
problem arise, it is advisable to contact the dealor or
manufacturer for advice and repairs. Servicing by untrained
technicians is likely to permanently damage the instrument.
