File Specification
The
onlyway to store infonnation on disk
is
to put it in adisk file. Afterwards,
that
infonnation canbe referenced via the file name you gave to the file when
you
created
or
renamed it.
A file specification has
the
general form
For
example:
FileA/TXT.Manager:3(ACCOUNTS)
references
the
file named FileA/TXT(ACCOUNTS) with the password Manager,
on
Drive 3, diskette name ACCOUNTS.

A file
name
consists
of
a name and an optional name-extension. For the
name,
you canchoose any letter, followed by up to seven additionalnumbers
or
letters.
To
use a name extension, start witha diagonalslash/ andaddup to
three
numbers
or
letters.
For
example:

N(-\I'1ES/123
TEST
are
all valid
and
distinct file names.
