4. Plug the extension unit into any AC outlet. (The extension
unit has only one modular jack.) Then plug a telephone’s
modular cord into the jack on the side of the extension unit.
Notes:
• Longer modular telephone cords are available from your
local Radio Shack store.
• If your phone line jack is not a modular jack, you can update
the wiring yourself, using jacks and adapters available at
your local Radio Shack store. Or, you can let the phone com-
pany update the wiring for you. The USOC number of the
jack to be installed is RJ11C.
