Monitor
Performance
Check
Introduction
The
System
Performance
Check
procedure
is
intended
for
the
monitor
and
its
accessories
without
the
need
of
any
measuring
instruments
or
tools.
The
check
is
recommended
before
installation.
Tf
the
analog
or
serial
data
outputs
are
used,
the
instruments
normally
connected
to.
these
terminals
are
used
for
the
check.
These
can
be
a
TCR3/REC
or
an
analog
recorder.
_
The
Performance
Check
procedure
makes
use
of
the
built-in
test
program
which
is
called
by
switching
on
the
TCM3
while
the
ALARM
OFF
and
SET
keys
are
activated
simultaneously.
The
ALARM
OFF
key
is
used
to
step
through
the
test
program.
The
direction
of
the
stepping
can
be
reversed
by
the
SET
key.
The
actual
“Step-number”
is
displayed
in
the
AUX
display
(except
steps
1
and
5).
Ensure
that
the
internal
battery
is
fully
charged
before
starting
the
performance
check.
Setup
Program
The
following
steps
are
carried
out
to
check
the
Setup
program.
Step
Action
1.
Supply
TCM3
from
the
mains
by
the
Mains
Adapter.
2.
Connect
an
electrode
to
the
Monitor
and
switch
on.
All
display
segments,
light-bars
and
the
audio
alarm
are
activated
for
a
short
period.
The
CAL
light-bar
flashes,
calling
for
a
calibration.
3.
Press
the
SET
key
to
call
the
Setup
program
and
check
it
in
accordance
with
the
Operator’s
Manual.
AUX
Program
The
following
is
carried
out
to
check
the
AUX
program.
Step
Action
1.
Press
the
A
and
W
keys
simultaneously
for
3
seconds
to
call
the
AUX
program.
Check
it
according
to
the
Operator’s
Manual.
Calibration
The
following
steps
are
carried
out
to
check
the
calibration.

Step
Action
1.
Press
the
CAL
key
and
perform
a
calibration
according
to
Operator’s
Manual.
2.
Switch
off
the
Monitor.
