The
following
test/adjustment
is
performed
while
the
monitor
is
in
normal
monitoring
mode
(Simulator
ELECTRODE
switch
not
in
pos.
TEST.).
The
procedures
require
the
cabinet
to
be
opened.
Step

Action
Ensure
that
the
mains
adapter
and
the
TCR3/REC
recorder
cable
is
not
connected
to
the
Monitor.
Connect
a
variable
power
supply
to
the
monitor's
internal
battery
leads
instead
of
the
NiCd
battery.
Adjust
the
power
supply
to
9
volts
and
switch
on
the
monitor.
Reduce
slowly
the
power
supply
voltage
until
the
BAT
light
bar
begins
to
flash.
Check
using
a
DVM
that
the
power
supply
voltage
is
7.20
+
0.1
V.
If
outside,
adjust
the
potentiometer
R51
on
the
Main
PCB.
Hint:
If
the
“BAT
low”
activation
voltage
is
above
7.30
V,
tum
the
potentiometer
counter-clockwise.
If
itis
below
7.10
V,
turn
the
potentiometer
clockwise.
Repeat
steps
2
and
3.
Remove
the
power
supply
and
the
DVM
and
reconnect
the
NiCd
battery.
Reprogram
the
Setup
and
AUX
programs.
Check
the
mmHg/kPa
and
in-vivo
cal.
settings
in
the
service
program,
step
0:04.
