Serial Data This procedure checks the serial output via a loop-back test.
Step Action
Step 0:19 1. Select SERIAL LOOP BACK on the simulator OUTPUT switch.
Check that the centre bar of the display segments step continuously
across the display.
Disconnect the mains adapter and check that the display shows
“ErrBrr”.
NiCd Battery This procedure checks the battery voltage and the attached circuit.
The procedures require the cabinet to be opened.
Step Action
Step 0:20 1. Load=750 mA
Ensure that the monitor is not supplied from the mains adapter
(supplied from the NiCd battery only).
Connect the DVM to the NiCd battery terminals.
Check that the voltage is above 7.5 V (fully charged battery).
2. +5V
Connect DVM+ to TP3 and DVM- to TP4 on the Main PCB.
Check that the voltage is 5.000 + 0.005 V.
3. +5VRAM
Switch off the monitor.
Connect DVM* to TP 8 and DVM— to TP 4 on the Main PCB.
Check that the voltage is above 3.0 V.
