Compasssafedistance
Topreventpotentialinterferencewiththevessel's
magneticcompasses,ensureanadequatedistance
ismaintainedfromthedisplay.
Whenchoosingasuitablelocationforthedisplay
youshouldaimtomaintainthemaximumpossible
distancebetweenthedisplayandanycompasses.
Typicallythisdistanceshouldbeatleast1m(3ft)
inalldirections.Howeverforsomesmallervessels
itmaynotbepossibletolocatethedisplaythisfar
awayfromacompass.Inthissituation,thefollowing
guresprovidetheminimumsafedistancethat
shouldbemaintainedbetweenthedisplayandany
compasses.
