TROUBLE-SHOOTING
In the event of problems or poor operation, consult the following checklist before contacting
your authorised service centre.
THE AMPLIFIER DOES NOT SWITCH ON
• Make sure the power switch is in the right position.
• Make sure the mains connection is made properly.
• Make sure the power supply voltage is correct.
• Make sure the amplifier is not overheated.
• Put the power switch in the “0” position, wait a few minutes and then try again (the switch-
on circuit is protected by a PTC sensor that prevents current inrush during switch-on. Reset is
automatic after a few minutes).
THE SOUND COMES OUT DISTORTED OR AT LOW VOLUME
• Check the position of the level adjusters on the front panel.
• Make sure the level of the signal to the amplifier input is correct.
• Check the wiring of the input signal and the connections on the output connectors.
• Make sure loudspeakers are operating correctly.
INDICATOR LEDS ON THE FRONT PANEL REMAIN LIT
MUTE/PROT
• Check loudspeakers do not have an impedance value less than that recommended for the used
mode (STEREO / MONO / BRIDGE).
• Make sure there is not a short circuit.
PEAK/LIMITER
• High input signal (>+10dB)
TEMP (MUTE / PROT + PEAK LIMITER)
• Make sure the cooling grilles on the back, front and sides of the amplifier are not obstructed.
• Wait until the transformer or channel has cooled.
These checks can be made easily by disconnecting the connectors at the input and turning the
volume down to zero. If the indicator LEDs go off after the check, the amplifier is not the cause
of the problem.
ATTENTION: The indicator LEDs go off with a delay of a few seconds.
