Ventilation to the room that houses the fi re must meet the requirements of NZS5261.
Ventilation
Prior to installation, timber framing needs to be provided to suit the selected Real Fire. See installation drawing
Framing Details
The minimum hearth size is 300mm into the room and 150mm wider each side than the fi re (300mm x
1200mm)
Hearth
A non combustible hearth must be provided in front of the open side of the through wall fi re unless the fl oor is
non combustible.
Hearth – Open side
A non combustible hearth must be provided on the glass side of the Through wall fi re unless the fl oor is non com-
bustible or the fi re is raised a minimum of 300mm above fl oor level.
Hearth – Glass side
The Through wall fi re has glass on one side, the other side is open. It must be confi rmed which way the fi re is to be
installed. The fi re can not be reversed after installation. The open side has the higher heat output.

Minimal Model 900
Real Fires Through wall Model is designed for installation into Timber framed
cavities. It is not suitable for existing masonry situations.
