What to do if my red lion RL-SPRK200 fails to deliver water?
    • J
      John BrownAug 10, 2025
If your Red Lion Water Pump isn't delivering water, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the pump is completely primed. If the speed is too low, have a certified electrician check the voltage at the motor terminals and meter while the pump is running, and check for loose connections. It's also possible that the total head exceeds the pump's rating, in which case you should reduce the total head or use a high head pump. Finally, check if the suction lift is greater than recommended; if so, relocate the pump closer to the water source.

Why is my Red Lion Water Pump losing prime?
    • S
      stevensamyAug 18, 2025
A Red Lion Water Pump may lose its prime due to several reasons. Check for air leaks in the suction line, and repair or replace the line as needed. If the lift is excessive and operating too near the shut-off point, relocate the pump closer to the water source. Also, verify the water level; if it drops while pumping and uncovers the suction piping, add length of pipe to the suction to keep the submerged end under water, or move the pump closer to the liquid source.

What to do if my red lion RL-SPRK200 delivers water, but not at rated capacity?
    • M
      Mary HillAug 26, 2025
If your Red Lion Water Pump delivers water but not at its rated capacity, start by inspecting the suction and discharge lines for air pockets or leaks, cleaning or replacing them as needed. A clogged impeller could also be the culprit; remove and clean it. Check for an excessively worn impeller and replace it if necessary. Ensure the strainer isn't too small or clogged; use a larger strainer or clean the existing one. Make sure the suction line is sufficiently submerged. Relocate the pump closer to the water source if the suction lift is greater than recommended. Reduce the total head or use a high head pump if the total head exceeds the pump's rating.

How to fix mechanical troubles and noise in Red Lion Water Pump?
    • H
      Heather MarshallSep 2, 2025
If you are experiencing mechanical troubles and noise with your Red Lion Water Pump, it could be due to a bent shaft or damaged bearings, in which case you should take the motor to an authorized motor repair shop. Another potential cause is improperly supported suction or discharge piping; ensure all piping is supported to relieve strain on the pump assembly.
