Do you have a question about the Red Valve Tideflex Series and is the answer not in the manual?
Check pipe section for roughness, damage, or cracks. Ensure smooth surface for proper valve seating.
Install valve with bill vertical. Turnbuckles oriented at top dead center or 180°/120° apart for multi-clamp valves.
Ensure Series 37G fits specific pipe ID. Different materials have varying I.D.s for same nominal size.
Clean pipe walls and free from debris. Expanding clamps exert outward pressure to secure the valve.
Insert valve fully. Ensure it's level and not slanted. Pinning clamps is recommended for stability.
Periodically inspect valves for damage, wear, and debris. Check clamp tension and valve interior cleanliness.
Store valves in a clean, cool, dry location, protected from light, dirt, and chemicals, to preserve them.
Caused by excessive back pressure, water surge, or water hammer.
May be due to a loose clamp or cracks/holes in the pipe surface.
Typically caused by debris lodged inside the bill or built up beneath it.
Excludes indirect, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages. Liability limited to contract price.

The Tideflex® Series 37G Inline Check Valve is a revolutionary "duckbill" design device engineered to provide superior backflow protection in various piping systems and water bodies. This unique design effectively eliminates costly backflow from oceans, rivers, and other waterbodies. The valve is available in a wide variety of elastomers, allowing it to be tailored to specific flow specifications.
The primary function of the Series 37G Inline Check Valve is to prevent backflow in pipelines. Its "duckbill" design allows for unidirectional flow, opening to permit flow in one direction and closing to prevent flow in the opposite direction. The valve's cuff is constructed with an outside diameter that matches the inside diameter of the mating pipe, enabling it to be inserted directly into the pipe. It is secured in place by an internal expansion clamp, with Tideflex® recommending pinning all Series 37G valves for enhanced security and stability. The valve effectively has a zero face-to-face dimension, as it fits completely inside the pipe, eliminating the need for pipe modification, provided adequate pipe length is available. The design is simple, cost-effective, and operates without hinges, levers, or springs, minimizing routine maintenance requirements.
The Series 37G Inline Check Valve is designed to fit specific pipe inside diameters, with different dimensions for various pipe materials such as concrete, HDPE, steel, and PVC. It is crucial to install the valve only in pipelines for which it was intended.
