DIAGNOSTIC CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE ACTION
Toilet does not flush or flush
performance is poor.
Waste tank is full. Empty waste tank.
Clog at pump inlet. Clear clog. Do not flush foreign
objects.
Solid object in macerator pump. Turn off power. Attempt to re

move object. If unsuccessful,
contact Thetford service USA
(1-800-543-1219). Do not flush
foreign objects.
Low voltage. Check that toilet supply voltage
is 12 volts DC. Make sure the
voltage does not decrease more
than 10% with macerator running.
Water does not enter bowl during
flush or water add cycle.
Water supply line kinked or not
connected.
Check to make sure water supply
line is connected to fresh water
supply and is not kinked.
No power to pressure water
pump/fresh water switch off.
Check fuse panel to ensure fuse
has not “blown”. Check all fresh
water pump connections.
Solenoid is unplugged at relay
module.
Check wiring harness connec

tions at solenoid.
Bowl drains dry after flush. Water is siphoning out of bowl
due to discharge hose pulled
down
Discharge hose from macerator
pump is pulled down. Straighten
hose so that top of discharge
hose is in line with toilet nozzle.
No toilet system voltage. Battery switch in “off” position.
Toilet fuse blown.
Ship’s battery(ies) dead.
Activate battery switch.
Replace fuse
Charge batteries out of vessel.
