Safety On Board
Safety awareness can not be over emphasized.
Safety on board needs to be the skippers number
one priority. In this manual you will find many safety
precautions and symbols to identify safety related
items. Heed all safety precaution information. Re-
member, the skipper is responsible for the safety
of his passengers and crew.
Safety Labels
Safety Precaution Definition:
Safety precautions are stated as caution, warn-
ing and danger signal words. They are highlighted
in this manual by font design and symbol usage.
Also, a notice heading is included which provides
operation and maintenance information but is not
hazard-related. An information label provides tips
on a variety of topics. Become familiar and under-
stand all safety precaution labels!
Immediate hazardous situation that if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
DANGER
Potentially hazardous situation that, if not
avoided, could result in
death or serious injury.
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation or
unsafe practice that, if not avoided, may result
in injury, property or product damage.
CAUTION
General or specific information which is
important to correct operation or maintenance,
but is not hazard related.
NOTICE
AVOID SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
FROM OVERLOADING VESSEL!
MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED LOAD INCLUDES
WEIGHT OF ALL PERSONS, PROVISIONS,
AND PERSONAL EFFECTS, ANY EQUIPMENT
AND CONSUMABLE LIQUIDS.
