What to do if my Regency Indoor Fireplace is plugging with creosote?
- GgrantcarmenAug 4, 2025
If your Regency Indoor Fireplace is experiencing plugging due to creosote, it's likely caused by burning wet or pitchy woods, or burning large loads of small diameter wood without proper light-off. To resolve this, use dried, seasoned wood. Ensure the combustor achieves light-off before closing the bypass damper. You might be able to burn off the soot or creosote by positioning the combustor partially open after establishing a hot fire.
