AFTER EACH USE
Ensure the appliance is switched o and unplugged from the mains before cleaning.
Brush the accumulated hair from the blades and body of the clipper. Do not submerge
the clipper in water.
To clean the unit, wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
Note: Ensure the clipper is turned o when cleaning.
EVERY SIX MONTHS
Ensure the appliance is switched o and unplugged from the mains.
Hold the clipper in one hand so that the blades are at the top, place your thumb
underneath the blades and press upwards, the blade set will detach from the clipper.
Brush the accumulated hair from the blades.
Replace the blade set by inserting the hook into the bottom of the hair pocket and
pushing down until you hear an audible ‘click.
If the blades are not correctly aligned, cutting eciency will be impaired.
Place a few drops of cutter or sewing machine oil onto the blades. Wipe o excess oil.
CLEANING CAUTIONS
Ensure the appliance is switched o and unplugged from the mains.
Cleaning should only be done with a soft brush, such as the brush supplied with the
product.
Do not rinse under water.
Do not use harsh or corrosive cleaners on the units or their blades.
BATTERY REMOVAL
The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.
The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing the
battery.
1. Hold the clipper in one hand so that the blades are at the top, place your thumb
underneath the blades and press upwards, the blade set will detach from the clipper.
2. Using a screwdriver remove 2 screws from front of the clipper and remove the front
housing.
3. Hold the rear of clipper in one hand and hold the short length selection dial in another
hand, rotating the short length selection dial left and right, pull the dial out.
4. Using a small screwdriver, remove 4 screws from inner housing.
5. Lift or pry the clipper halves apart, exposing the battery and printed circuit board.
6. Cut the tabs on both ends of batteries and remove from the clipper.
