Engine oil change
Oil change frequency. Refer to your
vehicle's Servicing booklet .
Change the oil more frequently if
the vehicle is subject to intense use.
Average capacities for oil change

1.4 litre 16V engine : 4.9 litres
1.6 litre 16V engine : 4.9 litres
1.8 litre 16V engine : 5.3 litres
2.0 litre 16V engine : 6.0 litres
1.9 litre dTi engine : 4.8 litres
1.9 litre dCi engine : 4.8 litres
Oil filter included.
The oil filter should be replaced
periodically: consult the Servicing
booklet for your vehicle.
Engine oil grade
To find out which grade of oil to use,
see the Servicing booklet for your
vehicle.
Filling: take care when
topping up the oil that no
oil drips onto engine
components: there is a risk
of fire. Do not forget to refit the cap
securely as there is a risk of fire if
oil splashes onto hot engine
components.
Consult your Renault Dealer at
once if you notice an abnormal or
repeated drop in any of the fluid
levels.
Never run the engine in an
enclosed space as exhaust
fumes are poisonous.
Engine oil change: If you
change the oil when the
engine is hot, be careful to
avoid scalding yourself as
the oil flows out.
Take care when working
under the bonnet as the
engine cooling fan may cut
in at any moment.
