You suspect electrical
lines, but the device
does not detect any.
•Conduits can be
shielded by metal pipes,
braided shields, metal
wall coverings, plywood
walls, or other dense
materials.
•Lines deeper than
51mm from the surface
may not be detected.
•Lines may not be
active.
•Scan the area again in metal scan mode to see if you find
any metal, conduit, or metal pipes.
•Be especially careful if the area has plywood, thick wood
beams behind drywall, or thicker than normal walls
•If a switch controls an outlet, make sure it is on for
detection, but off when working near electrical wires.
WARNING: Use caution when nailing, screwing, or sawing
into walls, floors, or ceilings where wiring may be present or
you suspect it.

calibration again.
•Recalibrate the instrument at the point where the indicator
bars were flashing.
No indicator bars on
the display during

•Calibration was not

below the surface for
the bar scan mode set.
•Rerun the calibration at a different location.
•Select a greater scan depth, recalibrate the device, and
scan again.
