The Revlon Smooth Brilliance Hair Dryer (Model RVDR5251UK1) is a household appliance designed for efficient and effective hair drying and styling. This hairdryer incorporates advanced technology and user-friendly features to provide a salon-quality experience at home.
The primary function of this device is to dry hair using a stream of heated air. It is equipped with an Ionic Technology feature that produces negative ions. These ions are designed to nourish and condition hair, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and shiny. They also work to reduce the size of water droplets on the hair, which helps them evaporate faster, thereby reducing drying time. The ionic function activates automatically when the hairdryer is switched on.
The hairdryer offers flexible control over its operation with Professional Rocker Switches for both heat and speed settings. There are 3 Heat Settings and 2 Speed Settings available, allowing users to customize the airflow and temperature according to their hair type and styling needs. High temperatures and speed settings are ideal for quick drying or rough drying before styling, while lower temperatures and speed settings are suitable for styling and use on extensions.
A Cold Shot Button is integrated into the design. Once the desired hairstyle is achieved, pressing this button releases a flow of cold air to help set the style, ensuring it lasts longer.
For targeted drying and styling, the hairdryer comes with an Ultra Slim Concentrator attachment. This accessory channels airflow to specific sections of hair, facilitating smooth and manageable drying. It is recommended not to concentrate the airflow on any single area for an extended period. For quick drying, especially of thick hair, the concentrator can be removed, and the dryer set to a high heat and speed to remove excess moisture before reattaching the concentrator for styling.
Additionally, a Volumising Diffuser attachment is included. This diffuser can be pushed onto the dryer in place of the concentrator. Its purpose is to create volume, lift waves, and enhance natural curls. When using the diffuser, it is important to use only low heat and low speed settings.
The device is equipped with an Overheating Cut-Off thermostat. If the dryer's heat exceeds the optimum drying level due to partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings, the appliance will automatically cycle OFF (0). To resume usage, the appliance must be turned OFF (0) and allowed to cool down, after which the thermostat will reset automatically.
Before using the hairdryer, it is recommended to towel-dry hair to remove excess moisture. For initial drying, set the dryer to a high heat/speed setting and circulate the airflow through the hair, avoiding prolonged concentration on any one area. Once the hair is almost completely dry, the heat/speed setting should be lowered, and a styling brush can be used to shape the hair.
