Replace the front cover panel and turn the remote
ON. Turn the remote on before turning the water
supply on.
Turn on the gas and water to the water heater by
opening the shut-off valves.

After setting the activation of this control, change
the third switch on “DIP 1” to the OFF position
(DOWN). Be sure to reapply any venting/altitude DIP
switch settings.
