NOTES ON THE PLUG
As a safety feature, the appliance is equipped with a grounded plug, which will only fit into a
three-prong outlet. Do not alter the plug. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. Improper
connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of electric shock. Contact a qualified
electrician if there is doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled
in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
IF AN EXTENSION CORD IS USED:
::: The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance.
::: If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord.
::: The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, the appliance may not operate properly.
It should be plugged into a separate electrical circuit.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR THE COOKING POT
Always use trivets or oven mitts when handling the pot. Direct contact may cause burns
to hands or limbs.
::: DO NOT place the hot pot on countertop, as it will stain or burn the countertop.
Use a protective trivet.
::: The cooking pot is designed for use with this appliance only. DO NOT place the pot on
a stovetop, any range top burner, under a broiler, microwave browning element or in a
heatedoven.
::: DO NOT strike utensils against rim of pot to dislodge food, as it will scratch it.
::: Never cut or use sharp edged tools in the cooking pot as to avoid damages to the
non-sticksurface.
::: DO NOT use metal utensils with this appliance. Use wooden, silicone or nylon utensils
toprevent chipping of the cooking pot.
::: DO NOT use the pot to caramelize sugar, pop corn, or make candy.
::: DO NOT use the pot to reheat food or for general food storage.
::: Never put cold water into hot cooking pot. Sudden changes of temperature may cause metal
to warp, resulting in an uneven bottom. Let the pot cool down on its own before cleaning.
::: DO NOT use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners or any object that will scratch the cookware
oraccessories.
::: DO NOT use or repair any pot that is cracked, chipped or broken.
