Choose an indoor location near a 120-volt outlet, avoiding extreme temperatures.
Securely mount the timer using screws, potentially with wall anchors for masonry.
Connect valve wires underground, using appropriate gauge wire and ensuring common connections.
Attach valve wires to the correct terminal screws on the timer, noting terminal designations.
Connect the timer's power leads to the plug-in transformer and plug it into a wall outlet.
Connect a 9-volt battery for program memory backup during power failures.
Adjust the timer's internal clock to reflect the correct current hour and minute.
Choose between programs A, B, or AB for watering individual yard areas separately.
Program the specific start times for each watering cycle using the START keys.
Configure the run time for each zone, from 2 to 99 minutes, using the ZONE-MINUTES switches.
