Removing the Top Cover
To remove the top cover, the covers must be
removed in this order:
Right Cover > Right Upper Cover > Ink Cartridge
Cover > Left Cover > Top Cover
Use only a water dampened cloth to clean the
covers. To protect the finish of the covers, never
use an organic solvent to clean them.
If you print with the top cover removed, the
machine will detect a jam because ambient light
hits the exit sensor.
This also happens when you make test prints with
the covers off and the sensors taped over.
