 Gap Adjustment: Make sure that the gap between the
carriage and the platen is correct for the type and
thickness of the paper.
 Inspect the platen, carriage unit, and maintenance unit for
paper fragments.
 Dirty platen plates.
 Faulty Carriage Unit: Replace.
