What causes tear-out on the milled surface of my Ricon 20-600H Cutter?

Tear-out (also called 'chip out') on the milled surface of your Ricon Cutter can be caused by: * Cutting against the grain. Cut with the grain. For figured woods, take shallow cuts to minimize tear out. * A cut that is too deep. Reduce cutting depth to 1/16" or less. * Dull knives. Rotate insert knives to new sharp edges.
