Chapter 14 Remote Control
DS1000Z-E oscilloscope can be controlled remotely mainly through the following two
methods.
User-defined programming
Users can program and control the oscilloscope by using the SCPI (Standard
Commands for Programmable Instruments) commands. For more information about
the commands and programming, refer to the
DS1000Z-E Programming Guide
.
Use PC software
Users can use PC software to send commands to control the oscilloscope remotely.
Ultra Sigma of RIGOL is recommended. You can download Ultra Sigma from RIGOL
official website (www.rigol.com).
This oscilloscope can communicate with PC through USB or LAN instrument bus. This
chapter gives a detailed introduction of how to use Ultra Sigma to control the
oscilloscope remotely through various interfaces.
