This document is a use and maintenance handbook for the Diamond AN300T-3G Blocksystem, with production code FAL020G012-DI. It provides detailed instructions for operation, parameter adjustment, alarm handling, and an emergency system.
Function Description
The Diamond AN300T-3G Blocksystem is a refrigeration control unit designed to manage coldroom temperature, defrosting cycles, and fan operation. It features an electronic control unit with stored parameters for governing its operation. The system can be switched on/off, and its temperature setpoint can be adjusted within predefined ranges for high, medium, and low temperature applications. It supports various defrosting types, including heating element and hot gas, and manages fan activation based on temperature and defrosting cycles. The system also includes an alarm system to signal operational issues and a display to show status information.

Usage Features
- Control Panel: The system is operated via a control panel with dedicated keys for SETPOINT, UP, DOWN, and ON/OFF, along with LEDs indicating compressor, fans, defrosting, and alarm status.
- Switching On/Off: Hold the "ON/OFF" key for more than 5 seconds.
- Setpoint Adjustment: Press and release SETPOINT, then use UP/DOWN to adjust the value, and SETPOINT or ON/OFF to confirm.
- Parameter Variation:
- Level 1: Hold SET for 5 seconds, navigate menus with UP/DOWN, access with SET, adjust values with UP/DOWN, and confirm with SET or ON/OFF.
- Level 2 (Advanced Programming): Requires a password (22). Hold SET for 7 seconds, navigate to "PPS" then "PPA", enter password, then adjust parameters.
- Manual Defrosting: Hold "UP" key for more than 5 seconds.
- Manual Lights Control: Hold "DOWN" key for 1 second.
- Machine Status Display: Press and release SET to view "SEt" (setpoint) or "AAL" (alarms).
- Rapid Programming (CPP): A "CPP" parameter in the "CnF" directory allows for quick configuration based on application (e.g., Medium Temperature, Low Temperature) and defrosting type (Hot Gas, Heating Element). This simplifies setup by applying predefined parameter sets.
Maintenance Features
- Alarm System: The system provides visual (LEDs) and audible (relay) alarms for various conditions, including probe errors (E1, E2, E3), temperature alarms (LO, HI, E4), pressure switch alarms (E5, E6), data saving alarm (EE), condenser cleaning alarm (Ec), network alarms (Er, nx, Ux, u0, dx), and defrosting timeout alarm (Ed). Alarms can be silenced by pressing any button.
- Restoring Factory Settings: This procedure resets all electronic card settings to factory defaults for a medium-temperature machine with hot gas defrosting. It involves cutting power, holding "set" and "down" keys, and then switching the Blocksystem on. Caution: This should only be done if strictly necessary and with technical assistance, as it overwrites current settings.
- Emergency System: In case of electronic control unit malfunction, an emergency system can be activated to maintain basic operation. This involves specific wiring modifications (removing jumpers, connecting a thermostat, fitting a jumper for crankcase heaters) to bypass the electronic control. Note: This is a temporary solution, and the malfunctioning card should be replaced as soon as possible. Defrosting is cut out during emergency operation, requiring minimal cold room door opening.
