Step#2:Followthetensioner’sinstructionsonhowtoinstallthetensioner.

CAUTION
Aircanbecometrappedinthehydraulicsystemwhenconnectinghosesandtensionerstoa
hydraulicpump.Refertothehydraulictensioner’sinstructionstodetermineifbleedingtheair
outofthehydraulicsystemisrequired.
CAUTION
Dependingontheamountofairpresentintheconnectedhosesortensioners,itmaybe
necessarytorefillthepumpwithhydraulicoil.
Step#4:Closethereleaseknobandpumptheleveruntilthetargethydraulicpressureis
reached.
Step#5:Oncethetargetpressureisreached,performthestepsrequiredbythetensioner’s
instructions.
Step#6:Torelievethehydraulicpressure,openthereleaseknobtoallowthetensionertofully
retract.Thetensionerwilltakeapproximately30secondstoretract.
Itisthebestpracticetoleavethereleaseknobintheopenpositionwhilethe
tensionerisconnectedtothepump.Eventhoughthepump’spressuregagereadsno
pressure,thetensionercanstillberetracting.
5.2Air‐DrivenPumpOperation
Thefigures3and4attheendofthismanualdepictthelocationofthecomponentsusedto
operatethehydraulicpumpkits.
Refertotheinsidecoverofthepumpforinstructionsthatarespecifictothepump.The
followingsectionsaregenericinstructionsthatmaybesupersededbytheinstructionsinside
thepump.
Step#1:Connectthepumptothetensionerwiththeappropriatehydraulichose.
WARNING
Checkthemaximumworkingpressuresofthehosesandtensionersconnectedtothepump.Do
notexceedthemaximumworkingpressureofthepump,hose,ortensioner.
