CAUTION
Aircanbecometrappedinthehydraulicsystemwhenconnectinghosesandtensionerstoa
hydraulicpump.Refertothehydraulictensioner’sinstructionstodetermineifbleedingtheair
outofthehydraulicsystemisrequired.
CAUTION
Dependingontheamountofairpresentintheconnectedhosesortensioners,itmaybe
necessarytorefillthepumpwithhydraulicoil.
Step#4:Setthehydraulicpressuretozerobyturningthehydraulicpressurecontrolknob
counterclockwiseuntilitstops.
Step#5:Activatethepump’sswitch.
Step#6:Slowlyturnthehydraulicpressureknobclockwiseuntilthetargethydraulicpressureis
reached.
Step#7:Oncethetargetpressureisreached,performthestepsrequiredbythetensioner’s
instructions.
Step#8:Deactivatethepump’sswitchtoreleasethehydraulicpressure.
Itisthebestpracticetoleavetheair‐drivenpumpconnectedtothetensioner.Even
thoughthepump’spressuregagereadsnopressure,thetensionercanstillbe
retracting.
6.0ServiceandMaintenance
6.1ReplacementHydraulicOil
LostoilshouldbereplacedwithEnerpacHydraulicOil.ISO32orequivalenthydraulicoilmaybe
substituted.Donotoverfillthepump’soilreservoir.
