6.2.1OilLevelforMP‐0130ManualPumpKits
Thefillerholeonthehydraulicoilreservoirisalsousedtocheckthelevel.Positionthepump
withthepumpheadfacingdownwardsandremovethefillerplug.Theoilleveliscorrectwhen
theoilreachesthebottomedgeofthefillerhole.Refitthefillerplugandtightenedtoa
maximumtorqueof175in‐lbs[20Nm].
6.2.2OilLevelforMP‐6809ManualPumpKits
Thefillerholeonthehydraulicoilreservoirisalsousedtocheckthelevel.Theoillevelis
correctwhentheoilreachesthebottomedgeofthefillerhole.Refitthefillerplugand
tightenedbyhanduntilcapstops.
6.2.3OilLevelforAir‐DrivenPumpKits
Placethepumpkitonaflatlevelsurfaceandremovethegreyshippingplugortheredplastic
reservoircap.Theoilleveliscorrectwhentheoilisapproximately1inch(25mm)belowthe
topofthereservoir.Aflashlightmaybehelpfultoseetheoillevel.Refitthegreyshippingplug
ortheredplasticreservoircap.
6.3Maintenance
Lubricatethemovingpartsonthemanualpump.
Checktheairfilterontheair‐drivenpumpkitforexcessivedirtanddebrisbuildup.
Examinethepump’shydraulicpressuregagefordamage.Intheabsenceofasite’spreventative
maintenanceschedule,Riverhawkrecommendsagagecalibrationeverytwoyears.
Checkthehydraulicportsforgrit,dirt,andotherdebris.Cleanwithabrushand,ifnecessary,
withavolatilesolventsuchasacetone.Donotforcethedebrisdeeperintotheport.
Checkthehydraulichoseforanydamageincludingbenthoseendsandsplitouterlining.Ifany
damageisfound,replacethehoseimmediatelybycontactingtheRiverhawkCompany.Place
theplasticendcapsonthehoseendstoprotectthehoseendsfromdamage.
