Front Panel MIDI Connector

The front panel MIDI connector is a female 6-pin XLR connector. This connector carries MIDI data in both directions as

well as phantom power. This connector is wired in parallel with the rear panel MIDI input, so it is very important to only

use one of the two connectors at a time.

The pinout is as follows:

1: Phantom power (power jack tip)

2: Phantom power (power jack sleeve)

3: MIDI output (pin 4 on a standard MIDI output)

4: MIDI output (pin 5 on a standard MIDI output)

5: MIDI input (pin 4 on a standard MIDI input)

6: MIDI input (pin 5 on a standard MIDI input)

The recommended mating connectors are Neutrik part numbers NC6MX or NC6MXX.
