A GLOSSARY
OF
SOME OF THE DESIGN ELEMENTS OF THE
32-B
AND
THE TRILOGY
Console
Specifications
All
of
the
console
dimensions
of
the
32-
B
conform
with
the
specifications
set
down
by
the
American
Guild of
Organists.
The
three
61-note
overhanging
man-
uals
are
precisely
placed,
both
in
relation
to
each
other
and
in
relation
to
the
pedalboard.
The
pedalboard
is
a
standard
A.
G. O.
32-note,
concave
and
radi-
ating
clavier,
with
the
expression
pedals
placed
as
per
A.
G.
O.
specifications.
The
dimensions
of
the
standard
Trilogy
are
the
same
as
a,bove
but,
due
to
the
smaller
case
in
which
the
organ
is
built,
it
has
been
necessary
to
make
the
pedalboard
slightly
narrower
and
shorter.
It
is,
however,
still
a
32-note
con-
cave
and
radiating
clavier.
The
Trilogy
is
also
available
(at
extra
cost)
in
a
larger
case
with
locking
roll-top
console
and
A. G.
O.
pedalboard.
Leveling
Glides
To
assure
optimum
performance
and
life
of
the
moving
parts
in
the
console,
it
should
always
be
"square."
Uneven
floors
tend
to
distort
the
case
over
a
period
of
time,
and
extreme
stresses
will
damage
the
casework
and
equip-
ment.
The
leveling
glides
are
under
each
corner
of
the
console
and
bench,
and
are
mounted
on
heavy
threaded
pins.
These
may
be
adjusted
as
much
as
1-1/2"
to
compensate
for
irregularities
in
the
floor.
A
simple
spirit
level
can
assure
the
most
accurate
settings.
This
is
particularly
useful
in
schools
where
the
organ
may
have
to
be
moved
to
several
locations
.
Speaker
Systems
of
the
32-B
and
Trilogy
The
32-
B
is
designed
to
employ
external
speaker
systems,
requiring
a
mini-
mum
of
two
wide-range
tone
cabinets.
Provisions
are
made
for
the
addition
of a
special
Pedal
Channel,
where
additional
pedal
depth
is
desired
as
in
the
case
of
larger
buildings
and
auditoriums.
The
Trilogy
may
be
played
with
a
minimum
of
one
speaker
system,
either
remote
or
self-contained
in
the
console.
It
also
has
provisions
for
the
addi-
tion
of a
second
tone
cabinet
for
separation
of
organ
voices
by
tone
family.
There
is
also
a
provision
for
the
direct
addition
of a
Leslie
speaker
system
to
the
Flute
voices
to
give
the
Great
and
Choir
Flutes
the
Leslie
Vibrato
effect.
