The Rohnson R-91212 Dehumidifier is designed to improve indoor air quality by reducing humidity levels, preventing mildew formation, and offering air cleaning functions. This appliance is suitable for household use and should be operated according to the provided instructions to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Function Description

The primary function of this device is dehumidification, which involves removing excess moisture from the air. It offers three distinct working modes:

Dehumidifier Mode: In this mode, both humidity and wind speed can be manually set to achieve desired comfort levels. The compressor runs to extract moisture, and the running indicator flashes when the indoor humidity reaches the set value, indicating the compressor has stopped.
Drying Mode: This mode is designed for continuous operation without user-adjustable humidity or wind speed settings. The strong wind speed is automatically selected to facilitate drying.
Continuous Dehumidification Mode: Similar to drying mode, the humidity cannot be set in this mode, but the wind speed can be adjusted. This mode is ideal for continuous moisture removal.

The dehumidifier also features an Anion Air Clean function. When activated by pressing the Anion button, the device releases negative ions to clean the air, with a corresponding notice light illuminating. Pressing the button again deactivates this function.

A Power-down memory function ensures that if the device experiences a sudden power outage during operation, it will automatically resume its previous settings once power is restored.

The device incorporates a Timer function, allowing users to set a specific time for the machine to turn on or off. The timer can be set from 1 to 24 hours, increasing by 1-hour increments with each press of the timing key. Holding the key down allows for continuous adjustment. When the timer is active, an indicator light illuminates, and the display shows the remaining time before reverting to the current humidity value.

For safety and convenience, the dehumidifier includes a Water Full Protection feature. When the water tank is full, the machine automatically stops, and a water full indicator light flashes. The compressor stops, and the fan continues to run for 3 minutes before stopping completely, signaling that the water tank needs to be emptied. The machine can only be restarted after the tank is emptied and reinserted correctly.

Usage Features

To ensure efficient operation, the dehumidifier should be placed on a stable, flat surface, with a minimum distance of 20cm from the front, back, left, and right, and at least 50cm from the top to allow for proper airflow. During operation, doors and windows should be kept closed to conserve energy and maximize dehumidification effectiveness.

The control panel provides several keys for easy operation:

Power Button: Turns the machine on or off.
Mode Key: Cycles through the dehumidifier, drying, and continuous dehumidification modes.

The display window shows the current ambient humidity value during normal operation. It also indicates the set humidity value when adjusted and flashes "88" when the ambient humidity reaches the set value and the compressor stops. Drainage options include storing collected water in the internal tank or continuous drainage using an external hose. For continuous drainage, the rubber stopper must be removed from the drain outlet, and a water pipe inserted. The water pipe should be positioned more than 10cm lower than the drain outlet and kept straight to ensure smooth flow.

When the water tank is full, it needs to be emptied. This involves holding the grooves on both sides of the tank, gently pulling it out, inverting it to pour out the water, and then placing it back into its original position. The power button must be pressed to restart the machine after emptying.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient performance of the dehumidifier.

Filter Cleaning: The air filter should be cleaned regularly, ideally once every two weeks. To clean the filter, first, remove the water tank. Then, pull down the filter screen as shown in the manual. Use a vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust from the filter surface. If the filter is very dirty, it can be wiped with warm water and a mild detergent, then dried completely before reinstallation. The filter is inserted from bottom to top into the filter slot in the front shell, and then the water tank is reinstalled. Avoid using hot water above 40 degrees Celsius, alcohol, gasoline, or any other fluids for cleaning the filter. Also, do not place the filter in direct sunlight to dry, as this may cause deformation.
Internal Drying Function: If the device will not be used for a long time, it is recommended to use the internal drying function to prevent the formation of mildew and unpleasant smells inside the unit.
General Cleaning: The fuselage should be gently wiped with a damp cloth. Direct spraying of water on the unit should be avoided.
Storage: Before moving or transporting the machine, always empty any accumulated water from the water tank.
