This document is an instruction manual for the Rohnson R-9212 Dehumidifier. It provides essential information for safe operation, installation, troubleshooting, and usage of the device.
Function Description:
The Rohnson R-9212 is a dehumidifier designed to reduce humidity levels in indoor environments. Its primary function is to extract moisture from the air, helping to prevent issues like mold growth, musty odors, and discomfort caused by high humidity. The device operates by cooling the air below its condensation point, causing water vapor to condense into liquid water, which is then collected in a water tank. The dehumidified air is subsequently heated and returned to the room. This process aims to reduce energy consumption and accelerate dehumidification. The unit is intended for indoor use only.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Operating Temperature Range: The optimal ambient temperature for the dehumidifier's operation is 16-32°C. It can operate within a broader range of 5-32°C, but dehumidification cannot be performed outside this range.
- Relative Humidity Range: The optimal relative humidity for use is 30%-80%.
- Installation Clearance: A minimum distance of 50cm above the unit and 20cm in front/rear and left/right sides is required for proper installation and airflow.
- Timer Function: The dehumidifier features a 24-hour timer, allowing users to set the on/off time from 1 to 24 hours.
- Humidity Setting Range: In AUTO mode, the humidity can be set circularly in the range of 30%-35%-40%-45%-50%-55%-60%-65%-70%-75%-80%.
- Air Speed Settings: In AUTO or DRY CLOTHES mode, air speed can be selected between HIGH and LOW.
Usage Features:
- Control Panel: The device features a control panel for various settings and operations.
- On/Off Key: Used to turn the dehumidifier on or off.
- Mode Key: Allows selection between AUTO, DRY CLOTHES, and other modes. The corresponding indicator lamp lights up for the selected mode.
- Humidity Setting: In AUTO mode, users can set the desired humidity level. The unit will automatically adjust its operation to maintain this level. If the room humidity is higher than the set humidity +5%, the compressor starts, and the fan runs at the set speed. If the room humidity is lower than the set humidity by -5%, the compressor stops, but the fan continues to run. If the room humidity is within ±5% of the set humidity, the unit maintains its original state. The default set humidity is 50%.
- DRY CLOTHES Mode: In this mode, the compressor runs continuously regardless of the room's humidity. The fan operates at high speed by default, and the wind speed is adjustable.
- Timer Setup: The 24h timer allows users to schedule the dehumidifier's operation. Pressing the timer key adjusts the time from 1h to 24h. The setting is confirmed if no further action is taken within 5 seconds. The timer can be set for both "timer off" (when the unit is running) and "timer on" (when the unit is in standby).
- Dry Key (Inside Dehumidifier): This key initiates a drying procedure within the dehumidifier itself.
- IONIZER Function: Pressing the Dry key for 3 seconds activates the IONIZER function, and pressing it again for 3 seconds stops it.
- LED Display: The LED display shows room humidity in AUTO, DRY CLOTHES, and INSIDE DRYING modes. When humidity is set in AUTO mode, it displays the set humidity. In timer status, it displays the set time. The '%' symbol represents the percentage of humidity.
- Water Tank: The dehumidifier collects condensed water in a removable water tank. The manual emphasizes emptying the water tank to prevent overflow before restarting the unit.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: The manual advises against cleaning the unit with water. Instead, it should be wiped with a subhumid soft cloth. Chemical solvents like benzene, gasoline, or alcohol should not be used. For stubborn dirt, a neutral detergent is recommended.
- Professional Maintenance: Maintenance of the unit is limited to professional electricians.
- Damaged Supply Cord: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazards.
- Water Tank Drainage: It is crucial to drain water from the water tank before moving or running the unit.
- Noise Reduction: If significant noise is observed during operation, inserting pads or damping rubber sheets below the dehumidifier is recommended to reduce vibration and noise, and to protect wood floors or carpets.
- End-of-Life Disposal: The product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It should be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection center or to a dealer providing such a service, in accordance with EC Directive 2002/96/EC. This separate disposal helps prevent negative environmental and health consequences and allows for the recovery of constituent materials. The product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin symbol to indicate this requirement.
