the
range over which the
pitch is changed,
when pitch
bend data is received
from
an external MIDI device.
The
up and down ranges of the
pitch
bend can be
set independently.
Pitch bend
is
usually executed
from
a bender/modulation lever
on
a MIDI keyboard,
and is effective
especially when
playing
guitar
sounds and some sound effects.

both
the
up and down

LEGATO
:
Portamento
is applied
only when notes are

in a legato
manner
(i.e., releasing

key
only after the
second key

: Portamento
is always
applied.
