to the KATANA-AIR unit

PDF.
* When using Android 6.0 or later, turn Location
mode for the Android device on.
* You can use BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA-AIR
on both the KATANA-AIR and KATANA-AIR EX
(hereafter listed as “KATANA-AIR”).

Power on KATANA-AIR and Mobile Device

Power on the KATANA-AIR unit and mobile device before proceeding with connection.

Enable Mobile Device Bluetooth

Navigate to mobile device settings and turn on the Bluetooth function.

Launch App and Connect

Start the BOSS TONE STUDIO app and tap the CONNECT button to establish a connection.

Confirm Bluetooth Pairing

If prompted by the OS, confirm the Bluetooth pairing request to finalize the connection.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Check KATANA-AIR Bluetooth Status

Verify the Bluetooth indicator on the KATANA-AIR unit is active (blinking or lit).

Avoid Incorrect Device Selection

Ensure you do not tap "KATANA-AIR MIDI" or other incorrect model names during the initial scan.

Clearing Bluetooth Pairing

Unpair Device from Settings

Access Bluetooth settings, find "KATANA-AIR MIDI", tap its gear icon, and select "Unpair".

Toggle Bluetooth Off and On

Turn the Bluetooth switch off, then turn it back on again to reset the connection state.

Close Apps and Retry

Close all running applications on the mobile device and re-attempt the connection procedure from step 1.

Power Cycle Devices

Power off the mobile device and KATANA-AIR unit, wait briefly, then power them on again.

Changing the Bluetooth ID

Set Bluetooth ID to '1'

Follow specific button press sequences on the KATANA-AIR unit to set its Bluetooth ID to '1'.

Set Bluetooth ID to '2'

Utilize alternative button press sequences to set the KATANA-AIR unit's Bluetooth ID to '2'.

Apply Bluetooth ID Change

Long-press the unit's button to enter standby, then power on to activate the new Bluetooth ID setting.
