Troubleshooting
If you suspect a malfunction, please check the following points.
If this does not resolve the problem, contact a nearby Roland Service Center.

Video-related problems
Cannot stream, record video
or audio
Have you inserted an SD card? Make sure that the SD card is inserted correctly. p. 7
Is the SD card locked? Unlock the SD card before use. –
Is the SD card formatted correctly? Be sure to format the SD card using the SR-20HD. p. 7
Is there enough storage capacity left on the
SD card?
Delete any les you don’t need, or use a dierent SD card. p. 43
No video input
Could you be inputting copy-protected (HDCP)
video?
HDCP-protected video cannot be used as an input source. –
Video from the computer is
corrupted
When a rapidly moving video is input from a
computer, out-of-sync motion, icker, or other
picture corruption may occur.
This is called “tearing”, and does not indicate an equipment
malfunction.

No video output Is the display connected correctly?
Is video showing on this unit’s display (LCD)? If you can see
video on this unit’s display, the video is also being output to
the output connectors.
Check the display connections.

Cannot play a still image le
Have you correctly imported the still image
le?
Try importing the still image le in question again, and see
whether it imports correctly.

Audio-related problems
No audio is output
Audio volume is low
Is the volume turned down on the SR-20HD?
Adjust each input to the appropriate volume. Also raise the
output volume.

Could the audio be muted? Cancel muting for the input/output audio. p. 4
Is a condenser mic connected?
If a condenser mic or other device requiring a phantom
power supply is connected, press the [MENU] button Ó

and set to “On”.

Can’t play back audio les Have you correctly imported the audio le?
Try importing the audio le in question again, and see
whether it imports correctly.

Other Problems
Can’t use a USB ash drive Is the USB ash drive formatted correctly? Reformat the media on your computer in FAT32 format. –
