5.2 Assembling the appliance
Insert the gasket and
mind a proper fi tting.
Hold the blade unit
from below and turn
the glass jug clockwise
with the other hand
in order to tighten the
blade unit.
Put the small measuring
cup on the lid, then
tighten it by turning it
clockwise to the stop.
Place the lid on the
glass jug and press it on
fi rmly.
Turn the glass jug clock-
wise in order to tighten
it (both arrows must
meet and the glass jug
must engage).
5.3 How to use the On-the-Go Bottle
• Turn the blade unit anticlockwise to
loosen it.
• Turn the blade unit clockwise to
tighten it.
• Use the On-the-Go Bottle the same
way as you use the glass jug. Screw
it into the main unit clockwise (the
container must engage). Loosen it
anticlockwise.
6. Integrated safety system
The appliance features two safety systems.
• A safety micro switch ensures that the appliance will only work if the glass jug is fi tted properly on
the base unit.
• The electronic system switches off automatically after 3 minutes of permanent use and thus protects
the appliance from overheating.
• Together with the observance of this instruction manual, this ensures a safe operation.
7. Prior to initial use
For a start, please clean the appliance as well as all attachments. For more detailed information please
refer to “10. Cleaning and maintenance”.
