Expose internal structure by pulling out the rear panel.
Insert IDE and power connectors into the hard drive.
Screw the hard drive firmly onto the mounting tray.
Slide the HDD tray into the aluminum enclosure.
Secure both sides of the enclosure with screws.
Screw the rear panel onto the external enclosure.
Right-click "My Computer" and select "Manage".
Locate the external HDD marked as "Unallocated".
Right-click unallocated space and select "New Partition".
Complete the New Partition Wizard instructions.
HDD appears as "New Volume" after partitioning.
Double-click "My Computer" to see the new volume.
