The Rosso E-Quad Q is an electric ATV designed for recreational use, offering a blend of performance, durability, and safety features. It is intended for use on private property and closed courses, not on public streets or sidewalks, and emphasizes the importance of parental supervision for younger riders.
Function Description:
The Rosso E-Quad Q is an electric all-terrain vehicle that provides a riding experience for children and young adults. It is designed to move and offers various speed settings to accommodate different skill levels. The ATV is equipped with a throttle for acceleration and brake levers for stopping. It features a forward/reverse gear shifter, headlights, and a horn for enhanced functionality and safety. The vehicle is powered by a battery that requires charging, and its operation is managed through an ignition switch or a remote key fob.

- High (H): 25-30 km/hr (16-18 MPH)
- Battery Charging Time: 6-8 hours for a full recharge.
- Run Time: Up to 120 minutes of continuous ride time, varying with conditions, rider weight, climate, and maintenance.
- Tire Pressure: Recommended 7 PSI (Maximum 20 PSI).
- Battery Type: Requires a CR2032 battery for the key fob (pre-installed).
- Power Source: Electric, charged via a supplied charger.
Usage Features:
- Assembly: The eQuad Q arrives in two separate boxes (vehicle and battery) and requires minimal assembly. An assembly video is available at
https://youtu.be/1VEM_AC6uTl.
- Handlebar Installation: Handlebars are attached with clamps and bolts into the steering column. Proper tightening is crucial for control.
- Forward/Reverse Shift Knob: Located between the handlebars and seat, this knob allows shifting between forward, neutral (off), and reverse. The vehicle must be stationary before changing gears to prevent damage.
- Battery Installation: The battery pack is secured by two brackets and bolts. Wires should protrude from the front of the battery.
- Fuse & Battery Connections: A fuse is inserted into the fuse case on the red positive battery wire, and the black connector is connected to the ATV body.
- Front Bumper Installation: The bumper aligns with holes on the frame and is secured with bolts.
- Decals: Three sets of decals (Red, Blue, Pink) are included for customization. The body should be cleaned and dried before application.
- Basic Operation: With the ATV powered on, gently twist the throttle to accelerate. Release the throttle and squeeze both brake levers to stop.
- Charging: The ATV should be turned off before charging. The charger plugs into a wall outlet and then into the charging port on the ATV. The indicator light on the charger turns from red to green when charging is complete.
- Ignition Switch / Alarm & Key Fob: The ATV can be turned on manually with a key in the ignition switch (right side) or remotely using the key fob. The key fob also features unlock, power, and alarm/horn buttons. The fob requires a CR2032 battery, which can be replaced by carefully prying off the silver side pieces and separating the fob halves.
- Battery Level Indicator: Located on the right handlebar, this indicator shows the current battery level (100%, 50%, 10% - needs charging) and confirms if the ATV is on.
- 3 Speed Switch: Located on the left side, this switch allows changing speed settings (Low, Medium, High) using provided keys. Once set and keys removed, the ATV is locked into that speed.
- Parking Brake: Located on the front brake lever (right handlebar). Squeeze the lever and press down the knob to engage; squeeze the lever until the knob pops up to disengage.
- Headlight/Horn Switch: Located on the left handlebar. The green button activates the horn, and the red switch turns the headlights on and off.
Maintenance Features:
- Pre-Ride Checklist:
- Brakes: Check for proper function and positive braking action.
- Tires: Inspect periodically for wear, and check/inflate pressure to 7 PSI (max 20 PSI). Riding on abrasive surfaces increases wear.
- Frame and Handlebars: Check for loose, cracked, or broken connections.
- Hardware: Secure all fasteners (nuts, bolts) before each ride. Do not ride if damaged.
- Rider: Always wear protective gear (helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, long sleeves, pants, gloves) and closed-toe athletic shoes. Never ride barefoot or in sandals.
- Brake Adjustments: Inspect and adjust brakes regularly. Cable play can be adjusted on the brake levers. Calipers are adjusted by loosening the anchor nut, pulling the brake cable until pads are almost touching the rotor, and then retightening the nut.
- Wheel Alignment: If wheels are not straight, align them by pointing handlebars straight forward, loosening the securing nuts on both ends of the tie rod, turning the center rod until the wheel is straight, and then retightening the nuts. This applies to both sides.
- Chain Maintenance: The chain is driven and should be periodically lubricated with lithium spray. Inspect, maintain, or adjust the chain before each ride. To tighten a loose chain, loosen the four nuts securing the motor to the frame, then adjust the two chain tensioners (turning clockwise) equally until the chain is snug, and finally retighten the four nuts. Ensure the motor is cool before touching it.
- Battery Care: Fully charge the battery before storing for extended periods and every 4-6 weeks. Failure to do so can reduce battery life. Do not leave charging overnight unattended. Unplug the charger when not in use. Store the product above freezing temperatures to prevent permanent battery damage.
- Troubleshooting Guide: A comprehensive table is provided to address common issues such as power not turning on, ATV not moving, low travel distance, and charging problems, offering possible causes and solutions.
Safety Precautions:
- Riding an electric ATV can be dangerous; ride at your own risk and use common sense.
- Always wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.
- Do not exceed the weight limit of 120 pounds.
- Avoid touching hot brakes or the electric motor after use.
- Obey all local laws and regulations.
- Ride defensively, maintain a hold on handlebars, and watch for obstacles.
- Avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children, or animals.
- Use on private property/closed courses only; avoid public streets or sidewalks.
- Activate the throttle only when sitting properly and in a safe outdoor environment.
- The ATV is not impervious to damage from aggressive riding (e.g., jumping).
- Never carry passengers or more than one person.
- Avoid steps or swimming pools.
- Keep body parts away from moving components (drive chain, steering system, wheels).
- Do not use headphones or cell phones while riding.
- Never hitch a ride with another product.
- Off-road tires will wear faster on concrete, asphalt, or pavement.
- Do not ride in wet, icy weather, or immerse the ATV in water.
- Avoid excessive speeds, especially downhill.
- Do not ride indoors on carpet or flooring.
- Do not ride at night or when visibility is limited.
- Charge the battery ONLY with the supplied charger and under adult supervision.
- Disconnect the charger before cleaning the ATV.
- Regularly examine the charger for damage.
- Ensure the ATV power switch is OFF when not in use.
- Always turn off the eQuad Q before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
