2.3 First operational start up
•
Pull the power plug out of the power cord channel (9) and plug it in.
• Switch the appliance into the Ready mode with the main power switch (6).
The display shows «Sprache» (Language) and the basic setting «Deutsch» (German)
is blinking (otherwise see the information on «Filling the system»). Please adapt the
following basic settings before you prepare the first cup of coffee:
Setting the language:
• Turn the right control knob (3) until the desired language appears.
• Press the right control knob (3) to confirm the entry.
«Filter» appears in the display and the basic setting «No» is blinking.
Operating the appliance with a filter:
For all of our coffee machines you can buy from us a special filter for the water tank
as an accessory. With the correct use of this filter, you will not have to descale your
coffee machine as often. In order for the appliance to know that the filter has been
installed, you must program the filter setting to «Yes». The factory setting is without
filter.

If you use the filter in your machine and you have programmed the system to
«Yes», the programming for water hardness will no longer be displayed.
