5.8 System evaporation
If you have to send the machine back because of a fault or if it has to be transport-
ed, the system can be steamed out. Thus no residual water remains that could run
out during transportation.
Please note:
Only carry out evaporation for the above-mentioned purpose. This is not a cleaning
process that must be repeated regularly.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Setting» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Care» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Evaporation» and press the knob to confirm.
• On the display appears «Hose to spout» alternating with «and into drip tray».

Connect the end of the hose to the spout (4a) and the other end to the drip tray (fig. B).
Tip:
Place a sufficiently large container under the spout (4).
• Press the right control knob (3).
• On the display «Frother is rinsing» appears. Rinsing proceeds automatically and
lasts for about 20 seconds.
• The display shows «remove tank». Remove the water tank.
• The system will now be evaporated and the machine then automatically switches
off.

Remove and thoroughly clean the water tank, the drip tray and the used cof-
fee tray and then put everything back in again.

Carefully pack the machine for shipping, preferably in the original packaging.
