The security card, supplied with the literature
pack, contains important emergency
information. It is ESSENTIAL that you keep
the card safe from theft and ensure that it is
passed to the new owner if you sell the
vehicle.
• Key number: This is the number of the
starter/door key - essential if you ever
need to obtain a replacement.
• VIN (vehicle identification number): This
identity number is unique to your vehicle
and is essential proof of its specification.
The number can also be found in various
locations around the vehicle (see ’Vehicle
Identification’ in Section 1).
• Radio security code number: This unique
code must be entered into the radio
whenever the power supply has been
disconnected. Without this code, the radio
unit will not operate (see ’Security code’ in
the ’In-Car Entertainment’ book).
WARNING
Never leave the security card inside the
vehicle when it is unattended.
