      The espresso may flow too slowly due to several reasons: * The filter holder might be over tightened, in this case you should untighten it. * The coffee might be too finely ground, too oily, or powdery, so choose a more coarsely ground coffee. * The filter holder could be dirty. Clean your filter holder according to the instructions in paragraph 8.B. * The water grill might be dirty. When the appliance has cooled down, clean the water grill with a damp sponge (fig. 16).

Press the "EJECT" button to eliminate any remaining coffee and shake it to get rid of any water (also refer to paragraph 8.B). * The coffee might be too finely ground, so use a more coarsely ground coffee. * The coffee might be too old, so use a more recently ground coffee. * The coffee might not be suited to making espresso, so use a more finely ground coffee, and only use Espresso ground coffee.

Use very cold, very fresh milk. * The recipient is not the right shape. Use a small jug.
