If the burner isn't horizontal, use the burner spring to adjust it back and forth until it's correctly placed on the wick. 4. If soot or tar appears on the wick, or if the fuel is contaminated, contact your retailer to have the wick maintained or replaced, and ensure you fill the tank with suitable fuel.
