GETTING TO KNOW YOUR COMPOSTER
The Russell Hobbs Electric Kitchen Composter produces a substance called pre-compost.
This is an early active phase of composting. The unit will speed up the natural decomposition
cycle as it runs for 2-7 hours before completing a single cycle.
As this process doesn’t use worms or microbes found naturally in soils, the final mixture will
need to decompose further before becoming suitable for use in a garden. This is achieved by
adding the pre-compost to existing dirt or soil, compost heap or a worm farm. The best part
about the composter is that it eliminates any odours mitigating unwanted pests (for examples
rats and mice).
It is not recommended to sprinkle the pre-compost directly onto grass as this may
cause burning.
